A proportioning pump is a device which pumps two liquids (e.g. water and concentrate) in an exact ratio. The ratio is set through an adjustment mechanism, and is maintained precisely, independent of system flow or pressure changes. Should requirements dictate a change in the ratio, the adjustment mechanism can be recalibrated to the precise ratio.
The pumps operate on the source pressure of one of the proportioned liquids, typically incoming water, eliminating the need for pressurized air or electric power.
